ReSkills EdTech inks MoU with Alibaba Cloud

Both companies will be working closely together to bring more solutions for global online learning platforms

MALAYSIAN homegrown edutech company ReSkills EdTech Sdn Bhd has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Alibaba Cloud to create a globally-interconnected, online learning platform providing a series of sophisticated, cuttingedge edutech products and solutions.

The MoU will lead to the development of a conducive and inclusive ecosystem, as both companies enhance and develop ReSkills EdTech’ existing online learning platforms by leveraging Alibaba Cloud’s advanced, robust and secure cloud infrastructure and solutions.

ReSkills EdTech CEO Jin Tan said the quality and sophistication of Alibaba Cloud’s cloud technology infrastructure had contributed a lot to their product development as their cooperative efforts had resulted in several technological breakthroughs, and ReSkills EdTech hoped to unroll several new features over the next three months.

He said that ReSkills EdTech and Alibaba Cloud would also be working closely together to bring more solutions for trainers and coaches to empower more learners around the region as they are aiming to involve as many training providers as possible and utilise its new resources to empower them to their optimum potential.

Meanwhile, Alibaba Cloud intelligence GM of Malaysia Huang Kun said the education industry has leaped advancement by adopting cloud technologies to improve the quality of teaching and to enhance the ease of understanding of the concepts.

“Over the past decades, education has never been refurbished to be delivered on a platform like cloud and we have all witnessed the adverse impact and aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic has further accelerated cloud adoption, especially in education, was faster than what we expected.

“By collaborating with proactive market players like ReSkills EdTech, we hope to help nurture more talents, wherever they are, equipped with knowledge and expertise ranging from cloud-based technology, artificial intelligence, data analytics and ultimately, support the digital transformation needs of various businesses across the markets,” he said.
