Singapore F1 Tickets Worth Up to S$10,000 Sold Out Within Hours

By BLOOMBERG

Tickets to this year’s Singapore Formula One Grand Prix race, resuming in the city-state after a two-year hiatus, were released for sale Wednesday and drew strong demand, with three-day grandstand and hospitality packages snapped up within six hours.

“We have received strong interest from existing and new clients in our hospitality packages ever since the contract renewal for the Formula 1 night race was announced,” Shamini Suppiah, director of hospitality and sponsorship sales for Singapore GP Pte, said.

Three-day hospitality packages are priced at around S$10,000 ($7,400), according to the event’s website.

Singapore announced in January that it will host the Formula One Grand Prix race later in 2022 after a two-year break, as the city-state seeks to reposition itself as a prime business and tourist destination in Asia after pivoting toward a strategy of living with Covid-19. This year’s night race series kicks off on Sept. 30.

More three-day grandstand tickets may be released later if safe management measures ease further, Singapore GP said in the statement. A waitlist has been set up for companies wishing to book extra places should they become available.
