Boeing 737 Max Simulator Glitch Leaves 90 Indian Pilots Grounded

By BLOOMBERG

India’s aviation regulator barred 90 pilots from flying Boeing Co. 737 Max jets after finding problems with a simulator they had trained on.

India will take “strict action” against those responsible for the glitches with the simulator, Arun Kumar, chief of India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation, told Bloomberg News, without specifying what the issues were.

A representative for SpiceJet Ltd., the only Indian airline to fly the 737 Max, said 90 of its pilots have been restricted from flying the plane until they undergo retraining.
