Motac reopens financial assistance for more than 20,000 tourism operators

THE Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) has opened its Financial Aid 2022 from yesterday until April 15.

This is to allow tourism operators who missed the chance to apply before to make fresh applications on the financial aid.

Through the 2022 Budget, the government has announced the provision of Special Assistance to more than 20,000 tourism operators registered under the Motac with an allocation of RM85 million.

The allocation is one of the government’s initiatives to assist the tourism sector which was severely affected during the Covid-19 pandemic and includes assistance to tour operator companies (TOBTAB), Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) and spa companies as well as foot massage centres (PUK) licensed and registered under Motac.

The assistance forms were previously available from March 1, 2022, to March 15, 2022. However, there are still many tourism operators who have not applied for this assistance.

In this regard, the ministry calls on all eligible TOBTAB, MM2H and PUK to take this opportunity to submit online applications to Motac.

Any applications submitted after the application closing date on April 15, 2022, will not be entertained.

The application link and further info on the 2022 Financial Assistance is available on Motac official website at Any inquiries can be submitted to the nearest state Motac office.
