MOSTI seeks greater cooperation with Sarawak govt on EV

THE Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) will implement several projects in Sarawak such as the Deployment of Hydrogen Hybrid Energy Storage System for Converted EV Trucks under the Hydrogen EcoNanoMy Program and also supported by the Enabling Mobility Electrification for Green Economy (EMERGE) program implemented by NanoMalaysia.

Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba (picture) said the ministry party will work with the Sarawak State Government through Sarawak Energy Berhad to replace the conventional hydrogen selfuel technology used by electric buses in Sarawak.

“The Deep Retinal Classifier project implemented by the Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak to develop an automated detection system for three types of Retinal Vein Occlusion (RVO) conditions from fundoscopic retinal images of patients using a deep learning approach based on Neural Convolution Network (CNN) architecture.

“Meanwhile, the Mobile Based Community Pepper Farm Management System Project for Farmer Support Disease and Nutrient Deficiency Diagnostic with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak is the development of a mobile digital application for the detection and diagnosis of black pepper disease automatically known as LadaGo. This system was successfully developed and adopted by the Malaysian Pepper Board, Sarawak, ”Adham told Dewan Rakyat yesterday.
