THE Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) last Friday launched a mobile application to enhance customers’ lifestyle and travel services experience.

The integrated one-stop lifestyle digital platform known as Journify, offers a highly personalised travel experience solution that allows consumers to have easy access to information on their places of interest, facilitating them to plan a journey and a marketplace to shop for products.

According to MAG, Journify is targeted to be the handbook and digital one-stop centre for every traveller in and to Malaysia.

Its group CEO Captain Izham Ismail said this robust and engaging platform which benefits both merchants and consumers, reinforces the group’s commitment to meeting travellers’ needs beyond flying.

“This also signifies our seriousness in building agility and robustness in our operations to better serve the digitally savvy customers.

“We believe that the introduction of Journify is timely to complement the recent announcement on border reopening, with more and more customers opting for digital tools to plan for their revenge travel and socialising in the new normal,” he said in a statement.

The app mainly focuses on merchants related to travel lifestyle and locally developed products and services.

In its “Local Favourites” section, Journify features homegrown companies and products like Penan bags, batik clothing, Trapo car accessories and local food and beverages such as Tapping Tapir and Durian Hill.

Journify will also collaborate with Karyaneka to promote local artisans to travellers.

Bringing the digital experience up a notch, Journify also offers a first-of-its-kind flagship service at KL International Airport called ‘Journify2U’, which allows users to purchase products on the Journify site or app and have them delivered to them at the boarding hall.

Also available on Journify2U is a wide selection of meals and drinks from outlets at the airport.

Customers can even opt for a personalised “Meet and Guide” service, offered by the airline’s ground handling services known as, which demonstrates MAG’s Malaysian Hospitality.

“We are actively seeking out partnerships and inviting more merchants in various areas of the travel sector to take full advantage of the platform.

“To date, Journify has nearly 100 merchants, reflecting their confidence in our reach.

“At the same time, we are collaborating with several state tourist boards to showcase additional sites and hidden gems in Malaysia, rejuvenate the travel sector and support local companies in this critical phase, all while contributing to the country’s economic turnaround,” Izham said.

MAG also recently released a full-scale brand campaign called “One app. Endless Journeys”, which takes customers on a journey to various locations to experience attractions, food, destinations, shopping and more.
