THE Retail and Food & Beverage Productivity Nexus (RFBPN) is offering a free online advisory services programme for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the retail and food and beverage (F&B) sectors.
Targeted to attract 200 participants, the programme is supported by the Malaysian Productivity Corp (MPC) and is being held to assist retail and F&B businesses who were affected and are still struggling to recover from the nationwide lockdowns.
According to RFBPN president Deric Yeo, the online service programme focuses on digital marketing, business digitisation, physical marketing, branding, supply chain, business financing, business operations and human resources.
“This advisory service programme serves as a platform for SMEs to get access to expert advice from industry experts to help them increase business productivity, as well as voicing issues and challenges faced in the business.
“The programme, also known as Retail and F&B Virtual Advisory Clinic (RFBVAC), does not only aim to help traders in dealing problems but also to delve deeper to understand the real issues that they are facing,” he said in a statement yesterday.
“The information gained here can also be utilised to plan any upcoming programmes to help businesses remain competitive in the industry,” he added.
Meanwhile, MPC DG Datuk Abdul Latif Abu Seman said MPC is committed to assisting SMEs to address the issues and challenges and this initiative is expected to continue to expedite rapid economic recovery.
“In line with the mandate in the Malaysian Digital Economy Blueprint, RFBVAC provides a new leaf for the business community, especially SMEs to bounce back and create innovative and effective strategies in pursuing product and service-related businesses based on digital technology,” he said.
