JIANKUN International Bhd and Menara Rezeki Sdn Bhd have met up with the existing residents of Flat PKNS Jalan Tun Razak in Kampong Baru to explain on the RM1.2 billion redevelopment project.

“The introduction of Jiankun and Menara Rezeki as the key developers for the redevelopment project to the residents of the Flat PKNS will help us to move forward with the redevelopment project as it is vital for the local community to have a clear understanding of the proposals and how it would benefit the community,” Jiankun ED Azmi Osman said in a recent statement.

“The proposed redevelopment project includes relocating existing residents into a new apartment that we will build, as well as a comprehensive compensation for the existing residents. It is important that both parties and the residents can communicate via this platform to ensure the demolition of Flat PKNS Jalan Tun Razak in Kampong Baru will be done smoothly and responsibly,” he added.

The redevelopment project to be undertaken by Menara Rezeki, in which both Jiankun and Menara Rezeki have 70% and 30% stake in Menara Rezeki Properties Sdn Bhd respectively making both companies the core developers of the redevelopment project.

Under the proposed redevelopment plan, there will be 52-storey apartment towers built for the existing owners of the Flat PKNS Jalan Tun Razak in Kampong Bharu.

Menara Rezeki Properties MD Datuk Saiful Nizam Mohd Yusoff further said the main objective of the redevelopment project is to rejuvenate Kampong Baru.

“This 3.69-acre (1.5ha) site is strategically located, bounded on the side by Jalan Tun Razak. As a result, it is a prime site for redevelopment given its excellent connectivity, infrastructure, public transport and proximity to Kuala Lumpur’s central business district area,” he said.

In addition, the multiplier effect of the project will also bring in additional investment to the area, which will benefit the local community, as well as getting support from banks in terms of funding for the project and local authorities.

“As Jiankun and Menara Rezeki move forward with the explanation of the redevelopment project to the residents of PKNS, Jiankun is confident that the project will progress according to the scheduled timeline in order to ensure minimum disruption to the residents and the local community,” Azmi explained.
