CARE service provider Homage Sdn Bhd is extending to Perak and East Malaysia with the aim to have 11,000 caregivers, nurses and therapists nationwide by the end of the year.

Due to the growing demand of healthcare accessibility and an overloaded healthcare system, the extension is expected to enable all Malaysians to access quality healthcare at their fingertips and at the comfort of their home via the Homage platform.

After only three years since its establishment, Homage has supported Malaysia’s Covid-19 vaccination efforts by deploying over 300 nurses to 22 vaccination centres and administering over half a million vaccine doses.

Homage has also mobilised nurses and caregivers for partner nursing homes and hospitals requiring additional manpower by providing assistance for acute and chronic nursing care, as well as day-to-day caregiving.

Homage also offers personal care encompassing the activities of daily living (ADL); home nursing care; and home rehabilitation services such as physiotherapy, occupation therapy and speech therapy.

The range of ADL activities include showering and toileting assistance; companionship; night care; nursing care such as wound and stoma care; and escort services to doctors’ appointments and hospital visits.

Using smart technology to manage and provide on-demand holistic home and community-based caregiving to seniors and adult patients, Homage develops a personalised care plan and uses a proprietary matching engine to pair the care recipients with the best-matched carer.

Other than that, families can access real-time updates on their loved one’s care and can manage bookings and reports in a flexible and efficient way through the mobile app.

Homage Malaysia country manager PC Gan welcomed the partnership with organisations and healthcare institutions in the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor, Perak and Borneo to jointly elevate healthcare standards in the care spectrum.

“Homage is committed to answering the call for more equalised access to good healthcare, and our expansion to more Peninsular cities, as well as our larger footprint in East Malaysia, is just the first step.

“It is a joint effort to create true ecosystem impact, therefore Homage is also eager to work with other like-minded organisations and institutions to help more seniors and family members across Malaysia enjoy a better quality of life,” she said in a statement yesterday.
