Singapore’s NODX grows for 13th straight month in December

SINGAPORE – Singapore’s non-oil domestic exports (NODX) grew for the 13th consecutive month in December 2021, but the year-on-year growth narrowed from 24.2 per cent last November to 18.4 per cent, Enterprise Singapore, a government agency, announced on Monday, said Xinhua.

The electronic NODX increased by 13.6 per cent year on year in the last month of 2021, extending the 29.2 per cent increase in November. Meanwhile, the non-electronic NODX growth narrowed from 22.6 per cent to 19.9 per cent.

On a month-on-month seasonally adjusted basis, Singapore’s NODX increased by 3.7 per cent in December 2021 to S$17.1 billion (about US$12.68 billion), following the previous month’s one per cent growth.

Singapore’s non-oil re-exports (NORX) grew by 26 per cent year on year in December 2021, following the 20.3 per cent rise in the previous month. Both electronic and non-electronic NORX grew.
