Previously, YFBM’s flood relief team had completed volunteer work at a few hard-hit flooded areas in the Klang Valley namely Bukit Lanchong, Taman Sri Muda, Bukit Changgang and Hulu Langat where it distributed basic necessities to victims including mattresses, pillows, cupboards, kitchen utensils aside from helping in cleaning the victims’ houses, mosques and suraus, schools and kindergartens, as well as repaired damaged houses.
YFBM COO Johan Halid said after the catastrophic flood happened in the Klang Valley, YFBM immediately channelled aid in the form of basic food supplies and ready-to-eat food to temporary evacuation centres in Bukit Lanchong, Taman Sri Muda, Bukit Changgang and Hulu Langat.
