Ticket sales for the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) between Malaysia and Singapore have been put on pause following suspected Omicron cases in the republic.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar said the temporary freeze on ticket sales for the VTL is effective from Dec 23, 2021 until Jan 20, 2022.
“However, travellers who have already obtained VTL tickets for land and air and meet the traveling requirement can proceed with their travels under the VTL initiative,” he said in a statement today.
On Dec 20, the Singaporean government issued a statement regarding a local Covid-19 cluster involving three positive cases.
