BANK Negara Malaysia and all banks, including branch operations, in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur will be open and operating as usual on Friday, 3 December 2021.

“In this regard, financial market transactions in the foreign exchange, money and over-the-counter (OTC) bond markets will continue to function as usual,” BNM said in a statement today.

Yesterday Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan Kassim announced that Dec 3 (Friday) has been declared a public holiday for all Federal Territories after Kuala Lumpur (KL) City FC won the Malaysia Cup earlier this week.

He said the declaration was done under subsection 9(2) of the Holidays Act 1951 (Act 369) for Federal Territories.

“Yesterday’s (Tuesday) victory was KL City FC’s best achievement after 32 years of waiting to win the Malaysia Cup since 1989,” he said.
