MALAYSIA Airlines is providing a wider option with enhancement on its Business Class fare family options with Basic, Flex, and Business Suite to suit customers’ travel needs, priorities and preferences.

From December 1 2021, onwards, the customer may enjoy the designed and redefined fare structure offering a premium travel experience with the flexibility and ease of mind to modify their bookings.

The new adjustment is a result of the success of its Economy Class Flexible Fare options that also offer three distinct fare options (Lite, Basic, and Flex), with an increased trend towards Flex fare family due to its flexibility and security especially during the pandemic.

“The pandemic has impacted air travel in many ways, and one of the biggest has been the significant change in customer preferences and travel needs,” GCEO Malaysia Aviation Group, Captain Izham Ismail, said in a statement.

“We are proud to introduce these enhancements, making Malaysia Airlines one of the few airlines in the world to offer such flexibility coupled with multiple perks,” he said.

As for the upgrades, Business Basic and Business Flex both come with 2 pieces of cabin baggage (7kg each), 40kg and 50kg of check-in baggage respectively, complimentary meal and lounge access.

“This enables a convenient access to free seat selection and Enrich Points upgrade as well as other priority services for check-in, boarding, and baggage,” Izham Ismail added.

For the hassle-free experience, the customers will enjoy the flexibility to rebook or modify the ticket as they are entitled to a complimentary change (one-time for Business Basic) with fare difference applies and a refund option at a higher fee.

Offering flexibility, the Business Flex customers now can travel on an earlier flight on the same day for free, be allowed a refund at a fee, and receive further discounts on their next ticket purchase as well as a 10% discount for purchases through Temptations.

The Business Suite fare category, on the other hand, offers more significant benefits, including a 55kg check-in baggage, additional discounts for next purchases, and a 10% discount on purchases made through Temptations, with other enhanced features that are unchanged for Business Suite.

Under the Business Basic and Business Shuttle Fare category, customers who make multiple trips on the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore route regularly can enjoy greater flexibility and convenience for any travel purpose.

Similar also apply for customers on the Business Shuttle Fare as they may enjoy the flexibility of changing from the original schedule to an earlier flight on the same day with no penalty a fee waiver for flight and date changes with the additional benefit.

More basic travel protection can be achieved by using a dedicated Business Shuttle check-in counter in both KL International Airport (KLIA) and Changi Airport Singapore.

Recently, Malaysia Airlines received a 7-star rating for its COVID-19 health and safety measures from AirlineRatings and, most recently, became an airline partner of the Travel Safe Alliance Malaysia (TSAM).

“Along with other key industry players, Malaysia Airlines aims to create an end-to-end safe travel experience, positioning Malaysia as a safe destination for leisure and business travelers,” it said.

All the changes are applicable to any destinations except for Malaysia to Japan and Japan to Malaysia, Jeddah, Madinah and AMAL operated flights.
