Italian Cuisine week is back to promote the Italian heritage

The gastronomy event plans to promote Italian cuisine and the uniqueness of original Italian ingredients and products

THE Italian Embassy is celebrating the 6th edition of Italian Cuisine week in Malaysia, with 14 participating restaurants representing the iconic Italian menu by bringing the homely Italian cuisine experience and promoting the Italian heritage. 

An initiative of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Cuisine Week is held with the support of Italian Embassies and Consulates around the world, aimed at promoting Italian cuisine and the uniqueness of original Italian ingredients and products globally. 

This year, the gastronomy event is back with the participating Italian restaurants showcasing 14 unique menus in their locations infused with authentic ingredients and traditional elements in collaboration with the Italy Malaysia Business Association. 

Taking place from Nov 22-28, 2021, the main highlight of the celebration is also to discover the history of Italian gastronomy and the mediaeval land that binds people through Italian traditional cuisine. 

Alongside the unique eating experience, the audience may also find the five master-class videos with recipe ideal guide to try at home created by the school of Italian culinary arts, ALMA. 

Under the direction of ALMA’s teachers, chefs and sommelier, the masterclass demonstrates the taste of Italian enogastronomic culture made of products like parmigiano reggiano, parma ham and balsamic vinegar, titled “an Italian Taste Journey”. 

Celebrated worldwide, the week is focused to showcase the iconic dish including the street foods which maintain a strong presence in the Italian food culture as well as the Lineage of Italian coffee. 

The culinary tour and tasting session also to promote better understanding of the Italian food, beverage pairing culture and the Italian sustainable food heritage. 

Among the participating restaurants for Italian Cuisine week includes Gallo Nero 

Italian Restaurant, Heritage Pizza Kuala Lumpur, Roberto’s 1020, Sapore and Lurreta Dop Italian Deli. 

The public is invited to join the delicious journey discovery through the top picks at those participating outlets for extraordinary Italian taste.
