A NEW e-hailing service in town, InDrivers, aims to provide greater accessibility, affordability and flexibility to its users with its real-time deal (RTD) feature.
This enables passengers to book rides at affordable rates at any time of the day, while also allowing the drivers to accept ride requests that are most convenient and profitable to them.
“inDriver RTD model allows passengers to set their preferred fare for their selected route. Nearby drivers will then receive the request notification and they have the freedom to accept or ignore the fare or bargain for a better price.
“The RTD model also frees users from price surges due to peak hours, traffic conditions and request history,” the company said in a statement yesterday.
Further advantage of inDriver is that drivers are not automatically assigned to riders as once the counteroffers are in, passengers can select the most suitable driver that meets their preferences in terms of fares, driver’s rating, estimated time of arrival or vehicle model.
On the issue of safety of both drivers and passengers, the app provides the features to share users’ GPS location and ride details in real-time with trusted contacts.
“The app also incorporates an emergency button that will connect passengers or drivers directly with law enforcement agencies in case of emergency.”
The app was launched yesterday for its Klang Valley users.
inDriver COO Egor Fedorov said the launch of its ride-hailing service in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor demonstrates its strong commitment to serve the needs of Malaysia’s ride-hailing market.
“We are very excited with the launch as we continue with our journey to bring change in the way we access ride-hailing services in the country. Our users throughout Malaysia have enjoyed greater mobility with our feature and we believe this will be especially true for ride-hailing users in the Klang Valley.
“Meanwhile, as we remain focused on providing freedom of choice to our users, we’re also committed to improving our services and enhancing users’ experience. We will be adding new features and services in the future and we hope our users will continue to look forward to what’s in store for them,” he said in the same statement.
Prior to the app launching ceremony, the company announced on Oct 1, 2021, that the app is officially available in Penang, Alor Setar, Sungai Petani, Ipoh, Taiping, Melaka, Johor Baru, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Kuantan, Kuala Terengganu, Kuching, Miri, Sibu, Bintulu and Kota Kinabalu.
