Hujan’s 1st concert since pandemic

Hujan 16 Tahun will be divided into 4 different themes ‘1,2,3 Go!!’, ‘Semangat Enemy’, ‘Kotak Hati’ and ‘Riot’

POPULAR Malaysian indie band Hujan is making a comeback with a virtual concert entitled Hujan 16 Tahun after taking a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

To showcase the band’s 16 years of struggles, ups and downs in the music industry, the concert will be divided into four different themes, namely “1,2,3 Go!!” on Nov 5 to 7, “Semangat Enemy” (Nov 12-14); “Kotak Hati” (Nov 19-21) and will be closed with “Riot” (Nov 26-28).

It will be organised by LOL Asia and held at the Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Centre.

Hujan 16 Tahun is expected to reignite the nuances of Indie music as well as the riot spirit within their fans, known as the “Raingers”, who have been longing for a performance by the band.

According to LOL Asia CEO Rizal Kamal, his team is ready to bring Hujan onto the virtual stage and make it as close as possible to a physical performance that the audience would feel as though the band was right there in front of them.

“The virtual presentation will be made after the concert to allow us to iron out the audio and visuals, giving the audience the best quality and experience,” he said.

Hujan’s manager Ahmad Ariffin said the virtual show is no less interesting because it can be viewed on-screen and enjoyed with family and friends wherever they are.

The band is known for its dynamic, solid, energetic and full-of-attitude stage presence therefore fans can expect quite the show, especially as Hujan 16 Tahun will be their first show since Covid-19 put a pause on almost everything around the world.

Hujan 16 Tahun is also expected to be bigger than the successful Hujan 10 Tahun concert in 2015.

Hujan consists of Noh Salleh, AG Coco, Ambobzeela and Izzat Uzaini who fell into the spotlight after sharing a demo on MySpace back in 2005 and breathed a new life in the local music scene.

Pagi Yang Gelap, Mencari Konklusi, Muda, Kotak Hati, Aku Skandal and many more of their hit songs often dominate radio charts and resonating well among the younger generation.

After six studio albums, two extended plays, several local and international tour series, Hujan has managed to transform the landscape of Malaysia’s music industry in their own way.

Tickets for Hujan 16 Tahun are available at and will be screened on a limited basis every weekend throughout November.

Concertgoers are advised to make early purchases as tickets are limited.
