Mesiniaga secures RM49m contract from Astro
MESINIAGA Bhd has secured a contract worth RM49.33 million from Measat Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd, for supply and commissioning of Internet Service Provider Core Infrastructure. In a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the company said the contract duration is from Sept 30, 2021, to Feb 28, 2027, with no clause in the contract on automatic renewal. Mesiniaga added the potential risks relate mainly to meeting the terms of the service level commitments and deadlines imposed by the customer. The contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2021, until the expiry of the contract.
Heineken joins 30% Club Malaysia
HEINEKEN Malaysia Bhd announced that it has joined the 30% Club Malaysia, a local chapter of the global business-led campaign focused on building an ecosystem of businesses to promote diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) with a focus on gender balance on boards and C-suites. Launched in May 2015, the 30% Club Malaysia aims to activate the chairs and CEOs to be visible in adopting DEI best practices in their organisations and engage wider stakeholders with market influence through its activities. Joining the 30% Club further underlines Heineken’s efforts in promoting inclusion and diversity within the group as part of its 2030 Brew a Better World sustainability commitment.
Schlumberger, AVEVA to advance O&G digital solutions
SCHLUMBERGER and AVEVA announced an agreement to integrate edge, artificial intelligence and cloud digital solutions to help operators optimise oil and gas (O&G) production. The companies will work together to streamline how energy operators acquire, process and action field data for enhanced wellsite efficiency and performance. Initial focus of the collaboration includes linking edge systems to applications in the DELFI cognitive E&P environment to better manage equipment health and optimise performance.
Samuel Wee is MPB’s Rev Media CEO
MEDIA Prima Bhd (MPB) has appointed Samuel Wee as CEO of its digital arm, REV Media Group, effective Oct 1, 2021. He reports to MPB Group MD Rafiq Razali, the group said in a statement yesterday. Samuel first joined MPB in 2017 as the GM, Business Operations of REV Media, and was promoted to COO in 2020. He played a key role in growing REV Media to become Malaysia’s No 1 digital publisher which today represents over 40 top authority brands and engages more than 15 million Malaysians.
