ONLY one traveller to Langkawi was tested positive for Covid-19 from f 2,507 individuals who were screened through the Langkawi Tourism Bubble Pilot Project.
This individual was identified through the RTK-Ag test at KLIA2.
This positive case was found to be in category one and was given a Home Surveillance Order (HSO) to undergo quarantine at home for a period of 10 days.
Of the total screening conducted today, a total of 2,326 individuals were screened at the airport while another 181 individuals were screened at the Kuala Perlis Jetty, said Health DG Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
A total of 2,481 individuals took the Covid-19 test, where 2,468 involved RTK-Ag and 13 RT-PCR.
Meanwhile another 26 individuals were children aged six (6) years and below who were exempted from taking the Covid-19 test.
The number of recovery cases continued to surpass the new infections with 17,205 to 15,549.
Up to 888 cases currently being treated in the Intensive Care Units (ICUs) with 401 patients intubated.
Health Ministry also detected 16 new Covid clusters, bringing the total number of active clusters in the country to 1,364. –TMR
