Boustead awaits EPU nod for cruise terminal disposal 

BOUSTEAD Holdings Bhd’s disposal of its entire stake in Boustead Cruise Centre Sdn Bhd (BCC) worth RM230 million is pending approval from the Prime Minister’s Department Economic Planning Unit (EPU) to be obtained by the purchasers, MMC Corp Bhd and Westports Holdings Bhd, which the date extended to Oct 31, 2021. Boustead said parties to the share sale and purchase agreement have agreed to extend the date pursuant to the guideline on the acquisition of properties, according to an exchange filing last Friday. MMC, via a unit Klang Port Management Sdn Bhd (KPM), and Westports, are acquiring 50% ordinary equity interest in BCC for a cash consideration of RM115 million each. Westports and KPM have submitted documents for EPU Approval on April 13, 2021. 


SLP Resources halts Kulim plant’s op until Sept 16 

SLP Resources Bhd had temporarily halted its plant operations in Kulim, Kedah, from Sept 9 until Sept 16, 2021, after several of its workers were tested positive for Covid-19. In a bourse filing last Friday, the group said the cases were detected during its routine screening. Employees who have been in close contact with the infected workers have been placed under quarantine and isolation and will undergo subsequent screening. The group anticipates that the sales and production in the current quarter will be impacted due to the closure. It will attempt to mitigate any adverse impact including exploring possible claims from insurance coverage. 


Kerjaya Prospek bags deals worth RM126m 

KERJAYA Prospek Group Bhd’s unit, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd, has been awarded a contract from Sunrise Alliance Sdn Bhd for the development of a residential project worth RM126.1 million. Located at Bandar Putra Permai, Selangor, the project is the company’s fifth contract for the year, bringing its year-to-date contract wins to RM649.6 million, according to an exchange filing last Friday. The development is expected to commence on Dec 15, 2021, and would take 27 months to complete. The contract is expected to provide an additional stream of revenue for the group over the next three years. With the contract, the group’s total orderbook now stands at RM3.4 billion. 


ATS acquires RM65m of D’nonce Technology 

AT SYSTEMIZATION Bhd is acquiring 25.93% equity interest in packaging solutions provider, D’Nonce Technology Bhd, for RM64.96 million, or 80 sen per share. It signed an agreement with the Singapore-based vendors, Blackstream Investments Pte Ltd and Scoria Pte Ltd, to acquire the 81.2 million shares, the industrial automation systems and machinery maker told Bursa Malaysia last Friday. — Bernama
