More relaxed rules for hair salons, fashion and clothing stores

THE government says that the use of dressing rooms (fitting rooms) at the fashion and clothing stores are now allowed for Phase 1 states onwards.

This is applicable to clothing and accessories stores, including shoes, slippers, bags, hats, socks, watches – in shopping malls as well.

Business operators are told to provide disposable gloves for the customers.

The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) ministry added that the vehicle test-drive operations are also allowed now.

All service activities are also permitted for the barber shop, hairdresser and salon as well as beauty center.

For the cosmetics shop, skincare skin and perfume shops, the usage of testers is allowed with service consultation by a consultant/ employee.

“In line with the reopening of sub-sectors and additional activities the ministry also called on all consumer communities and traders to work together to ensure that the retail members and families as well as employees have received and practice a high level of compliance with all SOPs for the sake of people’s health, as well as business continuity.

“KPDNHEP will also continue with daily monitoring and inspection to ensure all sectors under the distribution, wholesale and retail trade sectors do not contribute to the re-emergence of the Covid-19 epidemic in the country,” the ministry said in a statement today.
