ALMOST 2,000 Orang Asli were vaccinated through the Gua Musang Orang Asli Vaccination Programme at Pos Brooke and Pos Hendrop in Gua Musang, Kelantan from Aug 29-Sept 2.
The vaccination programme was organised by Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s (TNB) wholly owned subsidiary, TNB Power Generation Sdn Bhd (TNB Genco), in collaboration with Gua Musang District Health Office and Kelantan Network of Orang Asli Villages (JAKOAK).
The programme involved 52 personnel including volunteers from TNB Genco, Ministry of Health Malaysia (MoH) and JAKOAK.
TNB Genco also contributed medical equipment and logistical needs like tents, PA system and food for the frontliners, volunteers and vaccine recipients.
Besides facilitating the vaccination programme, TNB Genco also contributed packs of essential food items to 1,300 Orang Asli families whose lives were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
TNB Genco owns, manages, and operates domestic power plants, renewable energy generation business, and maintenance and operation of bulk dry terminals.
