Southern Cable secures RM30m deal TM
SOUTHERN Cable Group Bhd has secured rectifier systems supply contract worth approximately RM30.4 million from Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) to be fulfilled over 30 months from September 2021. In a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the company said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Southern Cable Sdn Bhd, would supply, deliver, install, test and commission rectifier systems, including associated engineering services and accessories for TM’s regional hubs in Peninsular and East Malaysia. Rectifier is a device that converts electrical alternating current to direct current, which is required for the operations of some transmission applications and devices.
Bintai Healthcare partners Scientillence
BINTAI Healthcare Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd, teams up with Scientillence Sdn Bhd for haemodialysis businesses in Malaysia and South-East Asia. In a statement yesterday, the company said it signed a Business Collaboration Agreement with Scientillence to jointly develop and market medical products in the haemodialysis market, as well as to develop, invest, acquire or own dialysis centres, and other related renal care businesses in Malaysia and South-East Asia.
Ipmuda a Shariah-compliant building solutions provider
IPMUDA Bhd has launched its Shariah-compliant procedures to become the first fully Shariah-compliant trading house in Malaysia. In a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the company said the Shariah-compliant procedures are aimed at promoting socially responsible and ethical business practices. This move will apply to all its building material products and services under the trading arm, such as tiles, ironmongery, sanitary wares and interlocking blocking system, including its in-house brands such as Ortolani, Concord and Duraset. The group will also eliminate any compounding interest and penalty to be imposed on its customers by requiring only charges against actual cost incurred from late payments, in line with the Shariah concept of ta’widh.
Paragon Globe to build private hospitals
PARAGON Globe Bhd has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Selgate Properties Sdn Bhd for a two-year collaboration between Paragon Globe and Selgate Properties to develop several private specialist hospitals in Malaysia for mutual benefit of both parties. Selgate Properties is a property arm of Selgate Corp Sdn Bhd, wholly owned by Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor. The private specialist hospitals are intended to be operated by Selgate Corp’s subsidiary, namely Selgate Healthcare Sdn Bhd.
