MALAYSIA reported a total of 20,897 Covid-19 cases as of noon today, pushing the cumulative cases to 1,746,254.

Cases in Selangor increased to 4,371, after a sharp decline yesterday.

Three states – Sabah, Sarawak and Johor – continued to detect more than 2,000 cases.

Sabah recorded 2,594 positive cases, followed by Sarawak (2,285) and Johor (2,159).

Five states continued to have more than 1,000 cases with Kedah – 1,942 Pulau Pinang – 1,732,
Kelantan – 1,479, Perak – 1,204 and Kuala Lumpur – 1,003.

Meanwhile Labuan identified only one Covid case in the past 24 hours. — TMR
