Malaysia reports 23,564 new Covid-19 cases on the first day of SOP restrictions nationwide.

Selangor continued to record the highest number of infections with 6,974.

Borneo states saw its cases rise exponentially with Sabah (2, 738) and Sarawak, 2,548 the highest number of daily cases ever recorded since the pandemic outbreak last year.

Other states with four digit cases are Kedah (1,932), KL (1,652) Penang (1,523), Johor  (1,323)
Kelantan (1,281) and Perak (1,248).

In total Malaysia has detected 1,513,024 Covid cases since March 2020. —TMR
