TENAGA Nasional Berhad (TNB) is offering the Sinaran Merdeka incentive to its commercial customers in conjunction with this year’s National Day celebration.

In the spirit of Independence Day, the incentive is to encourage customers to brighten their premises and surrounding areas with decorative lighting.

Skyscrapers, office buildings, commercial complexes, shopping complexes, hotels and petrol stations that are using TNB’s services are encouraged to take part in this scheme.

“All customers under the commercial tariffs (B, C1, and C2 tariff) who have been in operation for at least a year (before August 1, 2020), for the two-month period of August and September 2021 are qualified to apply for the incentive,” TNB said in the statement today.

Under this incentive, business owners will be given an incentive rate of 20.8 cent/kWh based on the Neon & Floodlight tariff, for any bigger-than-average increase in electricity consumption.

It is valid for the usage taken in three months starting from May, June, and July 2021.

This special discount will appear on the October 2021 billing under  “Carnival Discount.”         

Customers can enjoy this promotion from August 1 until September 15, 2021, which is accessible through myTNB portal (www.mytnb.com.my) or at the nearest Kedai Tenaga.
