MEDIA Prima Omnia yesterday launched “Usahawan Social Biz” (OmniaUSB), a new business platform that nurtures, protects and helps local micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to bounce back from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is an integrated solution provider which offers creative services and integrated marketing solutions across all Media Prima platforms.
The platform was set up for MSMEs, start-up entrepreneurs and the fast-moving homegrown consumer goods industry.
Equipped with cloud-based business management, MSMEs will have the flexibility to manage their businesses anywhere and anytime, using a comprehensive smart dashboard that consolidates all the vital aspects and operational functions of their businesses.
Media Prima Omnia CEO Datuk Michael Chan (picture) said it serves as a one-stop business centre for MSMEs and industry players, OmniaUSB provides business solutions, empowerment and development courses for companies and individuals.
Chan said the platform is designed to be functional for all MSMEs, no matter the size of their organisation or product or service offering.
He said MSMEs have always been the lifeblood of the Malaysian economy and it is pivotal to provide all the necessary assistance for them to bounce back from the pandemic.
“We have the widest reach in the lucrative mass Malay market and we want to create win-win opportunities to meet the needs of our members.
“We want OmniaUSB to become the centre of excellence for MSMEs and serve as a business centre for the local industry players to get together and share knowledge and elevate one another,” Chan said at the OmniaUSB virtual launch.
He added that Media Prima Omnia is looking to share its extensive offerings to the MSME sector by dedicating a special team to ensure that their businesses stay relevant and remain competitive during the prevailing economic crisis brought about by the Covid-19 crisis.
He said by establishing a business community of local entrepreneurs, OmniaUSB will undertake various programmes of equipping the MSMEs with all necessary knowledge, skills and systems with which they can effectively navigate their businesses and increase overall sales and revenue.
“Through Omnia’s network, OmniaUSB will be able to link MSME business owners with local media experts for brand awareness and promotions and with digital oracles, business gurus and key service providers.
“This is to provide our members with access to a vast networking space and the opportunity to collaborate and form partnerships, which are out of reach for many local MSME players at the moment,” he concluded.
