Malaysia hits 20,000 Covid cases

MALAYSIA’s Covid-19 cases see no signs of abating, as it hit record-breaking 20,596 cases as of noon today.

This is the highest number of daily cases since the pandemic began in January last year, surpassing yesterday’s record of 19,819 yesterday.

Half of the new cases were reported in the Klang Valley, with Selangor detected 8,549 positive cases and Kuala Lumpur with 2,163 cases.

Almost all states reported an increase in the new cases except for Perlis (4) and Labuan (15).

Malaysia has 1,203,706 confirmed Covid-19 cases to-date. –TMR
