THE Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry (Motac) yesterday announced a one-off special assistance grant of RM3,000 under the Pemerkasa package for eligible tour operator companies.

Acknowledging that Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) companies with inbound licences have also been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the government has extended the aid to around 697 MM2H companies, including those with outstanding compounds issued by Motac under the Tourism Industry Act 1992 (Act 482) or the Tourism Vehicle Licensing Act 1999 (Act 594).

The grant is also eligible for MM2H companies holding domestic tourism operation business licences that have expired on or after Jan 1, 2020, under the condition that they have submitted and paid for a license renewal application before or on August 15, 2021.

Eligible MM2H companies may submit their online application form through the Pemerkasa MM2H portal http://www.motac.gov.my/pemerkasamotac2021_mm2h by Aug 31, 2021.

Applications submitted after the above-mentioned date will not be entertained.

More information on this aid can be found on Motac’s official website or at the nearest Motac office.
