THE government has advised the King to call for a special meeting for the Third Term of the 14th Parliament from July 26 to 29 and August 2 for Dewan Rakyat, and August 3 to August 5 for the Senate.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said the purpose of this meeting is to explain to the members about the National Recovery Plan and amend all legislation and regulations to enable Parliamentary sittings to be held hybrid.
“Pursuant to Clause (3) of Article 150 of the Federal Constitution, all emergency proclamations and ordinances made by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong shall be laid before both Houses of Parliament,” it said in a statement today.
The meeting will be held according to the standard operating procedures set by the National Security Council and Health Ministry.
