AS the day to honor fatherhood and paternal bonds draw nearer, there are still ways to celebrate the men in your families even though eateries and dining out remains closed for the lockdown period.

Home grown patisserie, Elevete Patisserie recently launched an exclusive Father’s Day Collection at its online store, featuring three new decadent, flavoursome cakes that will tempt any palate.

The cake-makers said first on the menu is Midnight Sin, consisting of beautifully aerated dark chocolate ganache, a hazelnut praline base and a hazelnut chocolate sponge nestled in the middle.

“This rich temptation of bittersweet mousse is divinity in its own right,” it said.

For dads wanting something less sweet, the Hazelnut Burnt Butter Cake is sure to be a crowd-pleaser, with its hidden charred flavoured cake topped with crunchy hazelnut and cookie crumbles.

Next is an oldie but goodie, the Blackforest Cake which Elevete said it elevated the classic German recipe up a notch by adding a crumbly streusel base.

“Those looking for something sweet with a hint of sourness will truly enjoy this cake, consisting of moist chocolate sponge, streusel base, cherry compote, dark chocolate mousse, and vanilla cheese mousse,” it said.

The brand added as an additional gift to balance up all the sweetness and indulgence of the cakes, it will be giving away bags of Milkyway Drip Bag Coffee by Ghostbird Coffee.

“Each box comes with six sachets of drip bags, packed with a blend of Brazilian and Indonesian coffee beans, freshly roasted and grinded for your doting father,” Elevete said.

The special Father’s Day Collection will run from now until June 30, 2021, and orders can be online at its website, 24 hours in advance.
