Serba Dinamik appoints new chairman

SERBA Dinamik Holdings Bhd has appointed Datuk Mohamed Ilyas Pakeer Mohamed, 65, as the new chairman of the company. In a ling to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the company noted the previous chairman Datuk Mohamed Nor Abu Bakar, 71, has been redesignated as independent director.

Solution gets conditional approval for vaccine

SOLUTION Group Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Solution Biologics Sdn Bhd, received product registration conditional approval from Drug Control Authority for its Convidecia (Trade Mark) Recombinant Novel Coronavirus Vaccine (Adenovirus Type 5 Vector) for emergency use. The vaccine was jointly developed by CanSino Biologics Inc and Beijing Institute of Biotechnology, which only requires a single dose.

GCAP signs 25-year solar deal with Evergreen

G CAPITAL Bhd’s (GCAP) 70%-owned subsidiary, Solarcity Malaysia Sdn Bhd, has signed a 25-year solar power purchase agreement with Evergreen Fibreboard Bhd, the company said yesterday. Solarcity will design, construct, instal, own, operate and maintain a solar photovoltaic energy generating system with a total capacity of 7MW under the Net Energy Metering scheme at the premises of Evergreen in Batu Pahat, Johor.

Advancecon buys 51% stake in quarry operator

ADVANCECON Holdings Bhd entered into a contractual agreement to acquire a 51% equity stake in quarry operator Spring Energy Resources Bhd for a total purchase consideration of RM30.4 million. As at June 1, 2021, Spring Energy is involved in six commercial quarry operations in Negri Sembilan, Selangor and Pahang, with varying lease periods up to 2036.

Genetec secures orders worth RM47m

GENETEC Technology Bhd has secured new orders worth RM47.9 million from its existing customers in the electric vehicle and battery segment, as well as the hard disk drive, electronics and semiconductor industries. The scope of works will involve, but not limited to, concept design and detailed drawing; order and the receiving of component parts; system fabrication and assembly; software coding and programming, factory setup, system testing; and lastly installation, commissioning and acceptance by customers. Genetec said the secured orders are expected to contribute to its earnings for the financial year ending March 31, 2022. — Bernama
