Bursa announced additional relief measures
BURSA Malaysia Bhd announced additional relief measures to those introduced in February and May this year, after considering the lingering impact of various Movement Control Orders and the recent nationwide lockdown. In a statement yesterday, Bursa granted an automatic one-month extension for the issuance of quarterly and annual reports for Main Market, ACE Market and LEAP Market, and semi-annual and annual audited financial statements due July 31 and Aug 31, 2021. It also gave 18-month relief period to listed issuers with unsatisfactory financial conditions and inadequate level of operations together with PN17 or GN3 criteria, and a 12-month relief period for a listed issuer who, between July 1, July and Dec 31, 2021, announces that it has an insignificant business or operations.
Techbond commences plant operations in Vietnam
TECHBOND Group Bhd commenced operation of its new upstream polymerisation plant at Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park II, Vietnam, for production of base material, polyvinyl acetate. The material is used to manufacture its industrial adhesives. In a statement yesterday, the company said the new plant will give cost savings through reduced transportation of raw materials from third-party suppliers and lower its reliance on external suppliers at the same time.
Magni-Tech sells land for RM23m
MAGNI-TECH Industries Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, South Island Garment Sdn Bhd, entered into a conditional share sales and purchase agreement with Hiap Hoong Industry (M) Sdn Bhd to dispose of land for RM23 million. In a filing to Bursa Malaysian yesterday, Magni-Tech said it will involve a freehold land parcel held in Seberang Perai Selatan and Sungai Jawi in Penang.
Euro Holdings hits limit-down
EURO Holdings Bhd, which hit limit-down yesterday, said it was not aware of any corporate development relating to the group’s business and affairs that has not been previously announced that may account for the trading activity. In a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the company said it has been informed by its major shareholder, namely SPA Furniture (M) Sdn Bhd, that it has not entered into any negotiations, discussions or transactions that has not been previously announced, in regards to their shareholding position in Euro Holdings.
