AXA Affin offers financial aid, encourages vaccination

by BERNAMA

AXA Affin Life Insurance Bhd is providing assistance to its customers through the Covid-19 Financial Support Fund while encouraging them to get vaccinated.

The RM200,000 fund, launched in February 2021, offers complimentary financial aid to its medical insurance policyholders who have been infected with the coronavirus or suffer from side effects of Covid-19 vaccination.

“The fund is available until Aug 31 or until it is fully exhausted, whichever is earlier. The allocation aims to support the health and wellbeing of AXA Affin customers by providing fast assistance in the form of cash,” the insurer said in a statement yesterday.

Officer-in-charge Kelvin Wong said the aid would help alleviate the burden and anxiety faced by its customers due to Covid-19 infection or vaccine side effects.

Among others, its customers will receive RM1,000 if they are quarantined in a government-designated quarantine centre and RM2,000 if quarantined in a government or private hospital for Covid-19.

“The next of kin of customers who died from the coronavirus will receive RM10,000 in cash aid, while a cash allocation of up to RM10,000 will be provided if customers are placed in intensive care units, in addition to a free PCR test for Covid-19 worth RM190,’’ he said.
