BCorp to transform into a consumer group

Berjaya Corporation Bhd (BCorp) will transform the existing conglomerate into a consumer group with focused core business segments, as part of its 3-Year Strategic Plan (2021-2024).

Group CEO, Jalil Rasheed said the plan is to move the BCorp Group forward into an institutionalised high performing organisation.

“The five business segments will be reorganised as Retail – Consumer Marketing & Distribution; Food & Beverage – Food Franchises & Food Trading; Property – Property Development, Investment Properties & Affordable Housing; Hospitality – Hotels & Resorts, Recreation Clubs and Services – Gaming, Environment, Digital Services, Financial Technology.

“The core business segments, each led by respective sector heads with oversight from the Group CEO,” he said during a virtual press conference today.

This reorganisation will see BCorp, as the holding company, led by the Group CEO and a senior leadership team, playing a strategic role, and the operating companies taking on the operational & administrative functions.
