MALAYSIA recorded the highest recovery cases since the pandemic began last January at 8,334 today.
This brought the total number of recoveries to 572,113.
Health DG Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham however said that the number of patients in the Intensive Care Units (ICU) remain above 900, with 914, with 459 intubated.
There were 5,793 positive cases detected as of Saturday, pushing the cumulative cases to 652,204. The number of active cases declined to 76,247.
A total of 76 deaths were reported, pushing the number of total fatalities to 3,844.
The country also saw 24 new clusters today, with 15 were from the workplace. There are 761 active clusters nationwide.
Separately, a total of 1,297,818 individuals in the country have completed both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine under the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme,
In total, 2,929,736 individuals have received their first dose, taking the total number Covid shots administered in the country to 4,227,554 doses.
The five states with the highest number of completed double doses are Selangor (170,855 doses) followed by Sarawak (133,516), Kuala Lumpur (122,564), Perak (121,740) and Johor (118,317).
As of Friday, 13,757,093 vaccination registrations have been recorded with Selangor registering the highest number (3,503,976) followed by Johor (1,716,130), Sarawak (1,318, 644) and Kuala Lumpur (1,163,711).
