THE Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) reported that only 2,412 (74%) applications from the pharmaceutical sector have been approved out of a total of 2,902 (89%) as of June 10.

However, there are a total  of 3,274 community pharmacy premises licensed under the Poisons Act 1952 which is enforced by the Health Ministry (MOH).

KPDNHEP urged all pharmacies registered under MOH to submit their permissions to operate during the Full Movement Control Order (FMCO) via the Covid 19 Intelligent Management System (CIMS) 3.0.

Those who have yet to apply for a permission letter are required to do so as soon as possible via https://notification.miti.gov.my.

Pharmacies are listed under the 10 essential services that are allowed to operate under the FMCO.
