MALAYSIA reported a total of 126 deaths – the first three digit death in the country.
Previously the highest number of fatalities recorded was 98, on Saturday.
The total number of deaths now stood at 2,993.
The country detected a total of 7,703 new cases as of noon today, bringing the total positive cases to 587,165.
Selangor saw its cases increase to 2,728- the eleventh straight day of having more than 2,000 cases a day.
Kuala Lumpur detected a total of 701 cases, followed by Sarawak (558), Johor (554) and Kelantan (541).
Only Putrajaya and Labuan recorded single digit cases with one and seven, respectively.
