LOCAL telcos have agreed to provide free calls to all networks in country from 10.00 pm tonight until 10.00 am tomorrow, says Communication and Multimedia minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah.
The initiative is made after taking consideration of Aidilfitri celebration tomorrow that falls under the Movement Control Order (MCO), he said.
“This facility is operated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and can be enjoyed by all customers of the following telecommunication services: Celcom, TM Unifi, Yoodo, Digi, Maxis, REDtone, TIME dotCom, Tune Talk, U Mobile, YTL,” Saifuddin said in a statement today.
However, Saifuddin also said that each service provider will provide this free call offer subject to their respective terms and conditions. Customers are advised to contact their respective service providers for any queries regarding this offer.
“I hope this facility can help Malaysians to stay in touch and strengthen friendships with loved ones and friends, although they are not allowed to visit each other during the festivities,” he said.
“Let us all pray that the pandemic curve can be flattened with the sacrifices and efforts of all parties,” he said.
