Covid-19: 3,551 cases, Selangor records the highest infection

MALAYSIA reported a total of 3,551 new Covid-19 cases as of noon today.

Selangor continued to record the highest number of infection with, 1137 cases.

Kuala Lumpur remained in the second spot with 477 cases while Sarawak detected 391 cases.

Other states that recorded three-digit infections include Kelantan (326), Pulau Pinang (305), Johor (258), Perak (137) and Kedah (112).

Up to 2,709 patients have been discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries to 392,555.

There are 33,762 active cases currently being treated nationwide. There are 354 patients in the Intensive Care Units (ICU) with 199 of them are intubated.

19 new deaths were reported bringing the total fatalities to 1,610.

According to Health DG Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, 14 new clusters identified today, including eight workplace-linked clusters.
