Kerjaya Prospek bags RM28.3m contract in Penang


KERJAYA Prospek Group Bhd’s its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd secured a contract worth RM28.3 mil from Persada Mentari Sdn Bhd, an indirect subsidiary company of Eastern & Oriental Berhad (E&O), for site and earthworks.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, the company also noted it also includes foundation piling system and pile caps construction, basement construction and all associated works for the proposed two blocks of 35 storey service apartments with one level basement on Plot B, Kawasan Tebusguna Tanah Seri Tanjung Pinang (FASA 2A) Daerah Timur Laut, Pulau Pinang.

The Contract will commence on 18 May 2021 and to be completed within twelve months.

“The acceptance of the Contract is in the ordinary course of business of KPM and is undertaken onan arm’s length basis, based on normal commercial terms which are not more favourable than those generally available to the public,” said Kerjaya.

The contract is expected to provide an additional stream of revenue for the Group over the next one year.

“The Contract will further increase and enhance the existing order book of the group but will have no effect on the issued share capital of the Company but it is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of the Group for the financial years ending 2021 to 2022,” added Kerjaya.
