IPOH — The number of flood victims evacuated to the relief centre (PPS) at Dewan Chikus Langkap, in the Hilir Perak district, increased to 40 people as at noon today.

A statement issued by the Hilir Perak District Disaster Management Committee Secretariat said the flood victims, involving 12 families, are from three villages, namely Parit 3, Kampung Batu Pecah and Kampung Belakang Kedai, Degong.

It said the weather today was fine and the relevant agencies are monitoring the situation.
