THE Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) has launched a mobile application named MyWIRA to enable its contributors to gain easy access to their accounts.

Among the main features of the application include access to contributors’ current and previous years’ statements, enabling contributors to check their transactions and providing access to their unit trusts.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (picture; right) said the application allows the board to reach out to the target group namely the LTAT contributors regardless of their current location.

He said contributors can review the dividend rate they have earned, as well as total dividends distributed to contributors in the previous year via the mobile application.

“Therefore, I urge all of LTAT contributors, either mandatory or voluntary, to fully utilise the service offered by LTAT.

“With the application, LTAT contributors no longer need to go to LTAT’s offices, use e-kiosk services or visit its website as they now have access to the application at any time,” he said after launching the application at the Ministry of Defence (Mindef) in Kuala Lumpur (KL) yesterday.

LTAT chairman Gen (Rtd) Tan Sri Dr Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin (left) said the application is an alternative to the fund’s existing platforms namely the e-Kiosks and i-Wira portal and that it is more user-friendly and holistic.

Currently, there are 77 LTAT e-Kiosks available for contributors to check their accounts.

He said the board aims to have 80% of its contributors register to the application by the end of April next year.

“I hope every contributor from the armed forces will register to the application as it is convenient for them to get any information regarding their contribution and transactions via MyWIRA,” he said.

MyWIRA also serves as a channel for Mindef, LTAT and the Malaysian Armed Forces to disseminate the latest announcements to the contributors.

It also allows users to gain access to exclusive promotions from Boustead Group and the ministry.

MyWIRA can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Play Store.

“The application, which was developed specifically for the convenience of its users, shows LTAT is moving in line with the current development of digital technology,” added Mohd Zahidi.
