TELEKOM Malaysia Bhd’s (TM) enterprise and public sector business solutions arm, TM ONE has entered into a master service agreement with Telefónica Tech, via Telefónica Global Solutions, to strengthen its digital infrastructure.
TM, in a statement yesterday, said the partnership would enable TM ONE to enhance its digital solutions in order to offer global cybersecurity solutions for local enterprises and the public sector against cyber threats.
It said TM ONE would develop and implement a global cybersecurity strategy for the Malaysian market, while Telefónica Tech would provide consultancy for the development of the TM ONE Global Cyber Security Operations Centre (G-CSOC) holistic cybersecurity programme.
The programme would include cybersecurity services training to increase the digital intelligence and skill set of its local workforce.
Telefónica Tech offers a wide range of services and integrated technology solutions in cybersecurity, cloud, Internet of Things, big data and blockchain. It serves over 300,000 customers in 175 countries.
TM ONE executive VP and CEO Ahmad Taufek Omar said the collaboration would enable it to offer end-to-end products and solutions that enhance digital lifestyle and provide complete business solutions.
“With TM ONE Cyber Security Defence Centre (CYDEC), TM ONE is well primed to empower and accelerate the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MyDigital) agenda and provide cyber resiliency through connectivity, cloud, data centres and cybersecurity,” he said.
TM ONE CYDEC is a fully managed security services provider that offers real-time visibility via predictive protection across private and public networks.
This is provided by G-CSOC, a 24/7 monitoring centre of cyber threats with active cyber defence and global cyber threat intelligence.
It is a complete suite of security services that brings multiple benefits including protection of brand and reputation, online fraud and minimising business disruptions.
By leveraging CYDEC’s pool of security professionals and comprehensive cybersecurity solutions, organisations could allocate more time and resources to their internal team, enabling sustained focus on business-critical areas, such as data security, identity monitoring and internal threat hunting across systems.
