Inta Bina awarded RM106m contract
INTA Bina Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Inta Bina Sdn Bhd, yesterday accepted the letter of award from Vibrantline Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitraland Holding (M) Sdn Bhd, for building works worth RM106 million. The company, in a Bursa Malaysia filing, said the contract is for the proposed development of a 30-storey serviced apartment with a retail podium in Klang, Selangor. The construction period will be for 28 months commencing from April 26, 2021. The group intends to fund the contract via internally generated funds and/or external borrowings. The contract is expected to contribute positively towards Inta Bina’s future earnings. — TMR
Yinson launches green technologies division
YINSON Holdings Bhd launched its green technologies division at the Singapore Maritime Technology Conference 2021 yesterday, marking the group’s foray into the technology sector that drives the global transition to a net carbon-zero future. During the event, Yinson showcased a concept model of the Hydroglyder, a harbour craft equipped with advanced hydrofoil technology, enabling the craft to fly above water, greatly reducing water resistance and thereby increasing energy efficiency. Yinson group executive VP of new ventures and technology Eirik Barclay said Yinson is working with local suppliers and partners to build a strong ecosystem for such technologies and operations in Singapore. “Our green tech division is headquartered in Singapore — home to the second-busiest port in the world. As a socially responsible business, our primary focus lies in driving decarbonisation efforts within the region’s maritime segment,” Barclay said, adding that the team is also investing into clean energy initiatives within the transport and energy business segments. — TMR
Bina Puri JV bags contract from Nepal Supreme Court
BINA Puri Holdings Bhd announced that its 20% joint-venture (JV) company, Bina Puri-Kalika-Samanantar, has been awarded a contract by the Supreme Court of Nepal on the construction of a supreme court building complex at Ramshahpath, Kathmandu. The company, in a Bursa Malaysia filing yesterday, said the contract period will be for 36 months commencing from April 1, 2021. The contract value is 5.2 billion Nepalese rupees (RM183 million). The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the Bina Puri Group for the financial year ending June 30, 2021 (FY21), FY22, FY23 and FY24. Bina Puri’s shares were among the top 10 most actively traded stocks yesterday, with 101.73 million shares changing hands. Its share price ended flat at 9.5 sen, valuing the company at RM109.16 million. — TMR
