KLANG – The Klang Perikatan Nasional (PN) is of the view that the assault of two bodyguards for fasting was an isolated case and not a racial issue.
Klang Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia Armada (Youth wing) information chief Muhammad Firdaus Khan Mohd Osman said they lodged a report to enable the police to investigate the case and punish the culprits accordingly.
“I call on the public not to view the case as a racial issue. Klang PN also strongly condemns the employer’s act of beating the bodyguards.
“We urge all to respect Article 11 of the Federal Constitution as everyone has the right to practise his or her religion freely,” he told a press conference here today.
On Wednesday, South Klang district police chief ACP Shamsul Amar Ramli said police had arrested four individuals for allegedly assaulting two men for fasting.
