KUALA LUMPUR – The Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM) has re-appointed Yusry Yusoff (picture) as its chief executive officer, extending his contract by another three years, effective April 1, 2020.
In a statement today, it said that Yusry has served IBFIM for four years, having more than 27 years of experience in various aspects of the financial industry’s development.
Prior to joining IBFIM, he had served with the Association of Islamic Banking and Financial Institutions Malaysia, Bank Negara Malaysia, the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) and the Securities Commission Malaysia, and he is also a member of the Bursa Malaysia’s Securities Market Consultative Panel.
His experience includes developing standards implementation programmes for the IFSB and promoting the Islamic fund management industry under the Malaysian International Islamic Financial Center (MIFC) initiative, IBFIM said.
