Tropicana Gardens Mall opens Malaysia’s biggest Starbucks Reserve

by AZALEA AZUAR

TROPICANA Gardens Mall (TGM), Kota Damansara has opened the largest S Reserve store in Malaysia on March 9.

The Starbucks Reserve is located on the Ground Floor, West Walk of the mall.

Measuring more than 6,200 square feet of retail space, the store has two bars – a main bar which offers all of Starbucks’s core and seasonal handcrafted beverages and a coffee bar which serves six different brewing methods including pour-over, Chemex®, siphon, Black Eagle espresso, and Nitro Cold Brew.

It also consists of a high ceiling and also expansive indoor and outdoor seating areas while the exterior design of the store is akin to a shape of a coffee bean where it consists of a large curvature and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The store is connected to a small garden and rapid transit station.

What makes TGM’s Starbucks Reserve stand out from the rest is its 50-foot wide ‘Wall of Gratitude’ mural featuring photos of more than 200 frontliners, medical workers, and Starbucks baristas.

The mural pays tribute to those who have been fighting together against the Covid-19 pandemic and also serves as a reminder of last year where Malaysians grew stronger and more resilient than ever.

The Starbucks Reserve offers customers an immersive coffee experience and celebrates all-things coffee.

TGM MD Andrew Ashvin and his team felt supported by the strong start and upbeat response from the shoppers.

“Staying true to our Tropicana mantra, we aim to redefine the art of living by providing a wholesome neighbourhood mall where our community can live, shop, relish and relax,” he said.

“Netting support from a global brand like Starbucks and having them open their premium and largest Starbucks Reserve in our mall is an important milestone for us. We appreciate Starbucks, as well as all our tenants’ support.”

Hence, TGM would continue to increase their standards in order to alleviate its shoppers’ experience.

Currently, the mall consists of many local and international brands such as  Thai Odyssey, Qi Odyssey, Village Grocer, H&M, Defacto, HLA, Adidas, Puma, BookXcess, Co-Labs, Restaurant Extra Super Tanker, Royce Chocolate, and more.

“There is something for everyone in our mall. We hope to continue this momentum and will be unveiling more exciting stores soon such as JONETZ by Don Don Donki and the flagship Sports Direct store,” he said.

Berjaya Food Bhd Group CEO and Starbucks Malaysia & Brunei MD Sydney Quays felt that their first Starbucks Reserve store in Malaysia five years ago created an immersive coffee destination unlike any other.

“Now, we are thrilled to be offering this unique and immersive Starbucks Experience to Tropicana Gardens Mall, bringing people and communities closer together. We are especially grateful to the Tropicana team for their support, and we look forward to continuing our work with them as we grow the Starbucks business in Malaysia,” he commented.

TGM is the largest neighbourhood mall located between the Kota Damansara and Tropicana Indah vicinity.

It spans approximately 1 square feet and consists of seven floors and about 300 shops.

From lifestyle, dining and entertainment brands, TGM caters to a wide but discerning customer base.

Residents living in luxury serviced apartments Arnica, Bayberry, Cyperus, Dianthus, and Edelweis would enjoy the amenities and facilities below at the mall while also being conveniently located to the Surian MRT station.

TGM is pulsating with many promotional activities. For more information about its Fashion Food Festival and unique tenant mix, can log on to www.tropicanagardensmall.com.my.
