FOCUS Dynamics Group Bhd has bought a 30% stake in LKL International Bhd for RM37.5m. LKL is principally involved in healthcare, healthcare equipment services, medical equipment, selected medical consumables and supplies.

In a statement Friday, Focus Dynamic stated the corporate exercise helps the group to diversify its portfolio in the healthcare segment by expanding its lists of medical-related products and leverage on LKL’s supplier network.

LKL has a major market share in Malaysia, and supplies products to 50 countries worldwide.

LKL uses the latest cutting edge technology to manufacture its medical furniture, specifically hospital and medical beds to ensure the quality and safety of its products is of the highest benchmark.

“Rising healthcare costs around the world and limited locations that offer quality and affordable recovery, leads millions of patients to travel seeking highly-specialized medical care,” said Executive Director of Focus Dynamics, Tay Ben Seng, Benson.

Focus Dynamics sees an opportunity to grow the medical tourism platform via the collaboration with LKL by emulating Singapore’s International Patients Service Center (IPSC) which act as online medical concierges, providing information and assistance for international patients.
