PRIME Minister (PM) Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said he is confident that DidikTV KPM will be able to help the implementation of home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) especially for students who do not have access to online education.
The Education TV channel is a continuous effort by the Education Ministry (MoE) in increasing access to quality education for all students nationwide.
He remarked that this is the first time in the country’s history where the government introduced a special channel dedicated to education with programmes running from 7am to 12am every day.
“All these efforts require strong support and close cooperation from all stakeholders, especially students, teachers and parents.
“Let us all be united in carrying out our responsibilities in achieving the national education agenda towards excellence for the sake of the country’s future generation,” he said in a televised address of the launch today.
DidikTV KPM will broadcast programmes based on MoE’s curriculum and co-curriculum as well as news about education from pre-school level to Form 6, edutaiment programmes and content produced by students.
Additionally, lifelong learning content that focuses on noble values and character development of students will also be broadcasted.
